Waterway Regulations - Volusia County

On June 25, 1990, The Governor and the Cabinet adopted a Manatee Protection Plan for Volusia County which included a number of boat speed regulatory zones designed to minimize the number of accidental strikes by boats to manatees. The plan has been amended with the last amendment published in May of 1995. The plan is now Florida Law Section 68C-22.012 F.A.C.

Areas of the Intracoastal Waterway and the St. Johns River in Volusia County are also regulated for boating and public safety as described in Florida Law Section 68D-24.164 F.A.C. and 68D-24.018 F.A.C.
